The Roof Tile Guru offers a variety
of consulting services along with their installation, restoration and repair
expertise. Having over 25 years of clay and concrete tile roofing experience,
we have combined the experiences and knowledge gained in the course of our work to
encompass most of the varying facets of the tile roofing system.
And a tile roof is just that. A system of
different pieces and techniques all blended together to create an efficient and
functioning roof. Most of the new tile roofs are a lot easier to install than
the older historic and obsolete tiles, and training individuals for this new work is
commonplace. Working with the older tiles, however, is a whole different story.
It is not a task that just anyone can undertake, even though most will think it easy
as they start out. Quite often professional assistance is sought after a task is
underway.
Our consulting program ranges from
merely identifying, locating and procuring old and obsolete roofing tiles to complete
step-by-step consulting of the entire restoration process. We are available
to assist in all or part of any tile roofing project or process and can help with
salvaging, installation, repairs, damage assessment, specification design and project
layouts. Most often the companies that request our service have their own
workforce and only need the professional and technical guidance we have to offer. In most cases the consulting time can be kept to a minimum and by creating an efficient work plan the end result is achieved to everyone’s satisfaction.
Damage assessment for homeowners and insurance
companies is another important part of our scope. There have been many instances
where we have saved property owners and insurers alike, hundreds of thousands of dollars
by being able to save, rather than replace, old or historic tile roofs. This not
only is cost effective but also maintains the architectural integrity of the buildings
affected. This is a must for historical structures and projects.
Once the initial consulting process has begun, it can be
maintained by the use of technology, i.e. telephone, computers and digital photography.
Many questions and situations that require troubleshooting are resolved by the exchange
of quality information between the installers and the consultant. In most cases,
on site inspections are kept to one or two visits.
